After 7 years in real estate, I realized that I had blinders on as to just how bad the rates were that many local loan officers were offering. In real estate transactions deadlines are tight, and service and attentiveness to the contract is essential. I needed loan officers who were on the ball, and I rarely saw the rates or heard dissatisfaction. But then a few clients have showed me the difference in rates they were seeing with local lenders and online lenders. I don’t believe that local, high quality service should require sacrificing rate. A small difference on rate can mean hundreds or even more than a thousand dollars difference per year in interest payments. So I decided to find a way to offer the services and prices I wanted my clients to have.
